Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between forró pé de serra and electronic forró?
Pé de serra keeps the traditional format, with accordion, zabumba and triangle. Electronic forró uses larger bands, with guitar, keyboards and drums, and more modern production.
Are forró and baião the same thing?
Not exactly. Baião is one of the rhythms that make up the forró world, and many people use the two names in a similar way. Forró is broader and gathers several dance styles.
